Alex Shek

Alex Shek has a diverse work experience. Starting in 2013, they worked as an Audit Intern at Deloitte. In 2014, they became an Audit Assistant at the same company and later moved up to the position of Audit Senior Assistant in 2015. In 2015, they also joined GCM Grosvenor as an Associate, Fund Finance and later transitioned to become an Intern and then an Associate in Software Engineering. In 2020, they joined Carta as a Software Engineer and eventually took on the role of Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineering Tech Lead. Currently, they are working at Simeon Cloud as a Senior Software Engineer.

Alex Shek obtained a BBA with High Distinction in Accounting and Finance from the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business in the period from 2009 to 2013. Later, in 2013 to 2014, Alex earned an MAcc with High Distinction from the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business as well. Furthermore, Alex pursued further education and completed an MS in Computer Science from the University of Chicago during 2017 and 2018. Additionally, in October 2015, Alex obtained a CPA License from the Michigan State Board of Accountancy.
