Ana-Mia Louw

Ana-Mia Louw has extensive experience in the field of engineering and management, primarily within the aerospace sector. At Simera Sense from February 2018 to August 2024, Louw served as Chief Operating Officer and General Manager, overseeing the development of high-resolution earth observation payloads for small satellites, with responsibilities in optical analysis, schedule and budget management, supplier oversight, and client relationships. Prior to this role, Louw was the General Manager of Simera Sense and an Optical Engineer at Simera Technology Group, focusing on optical design and project management for large-scale projects. Louw began the professional journey as a Student Engineer at Cassidian in 2013. Ana-Mia Louw holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechatronics from Stellenbosch University and completed secondary education at Hoerskool DF Malan.
