Chinmoy Mohapatra is a Project Engineer at Simerics, Inc. since January 2022, engaged in research and development within a startup atmosphere while reporting directly to the Founder/President. Previously, as a Research Assistant at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Chinmoy validated gasoline injector simulations and developed a sharp interface model for fuel dribbling phenomena. Chinmoy served as a Research Aide at Argonne National Laboratory and contributed as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, focusing on internal flow and external spray simulations funded by TOYOTA Motors and General Motors Research Center. Additional experience includes roles as a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of Cincinnati and a Combustion Analysis Engineer at Hero MotoCorp Ltd. Chinmoy holds a Ph.D. in Computational Fluid Dynamics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati, and a Bachelor’s degree from the National Institute of Technology Rourkela.
