Lei Shi is a highly experienced engineer with a strong background in aerospace engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Development Engineer at Simerics, Inc. since April 2016, Lei has previously held the position of Development Engineer at the same company. Prior to this role, Lei was a Postdoctoral Researcher and Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Kansas from January 2015 to April 2016 and from 2012 to 2014, respectively. Lei also gained experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at Iowa State University from January 2011 to May 2012. Lei holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from The University of Kansas and another Ph.D. in Aerospace Propulsion Theory and Engineering from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, which was preceded by a bachelor's degree in Civil Airplane and Engine from the same institution.
