Malena de la Torre Suárez

Malena de la Torre Suárez has a varied work experience in the field of art direction and design. Malena is currently working as an Art Director at SIMKHAI since 2023. Prior to this, they worked as an Independent Art Director and Designer starting in 2022. Malena also has experience at STAUD, where they worked in multiple roles including Art Director, Freelance Art Director, Senior Graphic Designer, and Freelance Creative. In 2017, they co-founded and worked as the Artistic Director at Aurelia, a design line specializing in unique wooden bags. Malena also worked as a Senior Art Director at Chandelier Creative in 2022. Additionally, they co-founded and worked as the Creative Director at Mestiza Estudio, a creative studio focused on branding and art direction. Malena has worked as a Senior Graphic Designer at babaá and as the Director of Communications and Press at Travesía Cuatro Gallery. Malena gained experience as a Visual Merchandising Intern at Hermès and Jimmy Choo. Overall, their work experience showcases their expertise in art direction, design, and branding.

From 2014 to 2018, Malena de la Torre Suárez attended the Parsons School of Design - The New School, where they earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree with a specialization in Communication Design.
