Jennifer Hu-Espinos

Jennifer Hu-Espinos has diverse work experience spanning over several years. Jennifer is currently serving as the Executive Director in the Office of the Vice-President, Finance and Administration at Simon Fraser University. In this role, they provide executive-level consultation, advice, and guidance on strategic planning while overseeing administrative, financial, and operational activities. Jennifer has also held the position of Director in the same office, where they directed and oversaw strategic initiatives and activities of the VPFA operations. Additionally, Jennifer has worked as the Executive Assistant to the Office of the Vice-President, Finance and Administration, providing comprehensive administrative support and acting as a liaison between the VPFA and various stakeholders.

Prior to their time at Simon Fraser University, Jennifer worked as the Finance and Administration Supervisor at Partners & Hawes, where they assisted the CEO and oversaw accounting and finance functions. Jennifer also has experience as the Director of Marketing Communications at Mobilicity, where they led successful rebranding efforts and managed marketing strategies. Jennifer has a background in account management, having worked as an Account Supervisor at Koo Creative, A division of Cossette Communication Group, and as the Director of Client Services at Identica Brand Consulting Inc., A division of Cossette Communication Group.

Throughout their career, Jennifer has demonstrated a strong ability to provide strategic leadership, develop and implement organizational procedures, and successfully execute advertising and marketing campaigns.

Jennifer Hu-Espinos completed a Leadership Foundation Program at Simon Fraser University in 2021-2022. Jennifer also obtained a Certificate in E-Marketing from the Canadian Marketing Association in 2008. Prior to that, they earned a Diploma in Marketing Management - Communication from the British Columbia Institute of Technology from 2000-2002. Jennifer holds a Bachelor's degree in Business - International Trade from Tamkang University, which was completed in 1994-1998.
