Kira Davis

Kira Davis has a diverse background in event planning and management. Kira began their career in 2006 as a CHILL Program Coordinator at Burton Snowboards. From 2007 to 2008, they worked as an Event Coordinator at Canada Snowboard, where they managed event offices and coordinated travel and accommodation programs. In 2008, they joined the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games as a Coordinator for Freestyle Skiing & Snowboard, recruiting and managing volunteers and developing training materials. In 2010, they became the Owner + Principal Planner at Twigged Events, before transitioning to the role of Alumni Relations Manager at UBC Faculty of Medicine Alumni Affairs later that year. In this role, Kira built relationships with alumni, planned high-impact events, and managed a direct report. In 2012, they joined Filosophi Events & Design as an Event Planner. Most recently, Kira served as the Manager of Ceremonies & Events and is currently working as the Associate Director of Convocation and Events at Simon Fraser University.

Kira Davis obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Recreation & Health Education Co-Op from the University of Victoria, where they studied from 2003 to 2008.
