Natalie Brenton has a diverse work experience which includes various roles in different organizations. Natalie has worked at Simon Fraser University since 2008, starting as a Prospect Researcher and later moving up to Manager of Donor Relations. In this role, they focused on ensuring the university's accountability to its donors and strengthening relationships with supporters. Natalie has also held positions such as Associate Director of Leadership Giving and Senior Associate Director of Philanthropy for the Faculty of Education. Currently, they are the Senior Associate Director of Advancement for the Faculty of Communication, Art + Technology. Prior to joining Simon Fraser University, Natalie Brenton worked as a Teacher at the American International School - Riyadh from 1998 to 2003.

Natalie Brenton has a diverse education history. Natalie started their education by earning a University Transfer Program degree in Arts from Douglas College in 1994. Natalie then pursued their Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Simon Fraser University, which they completed in 1996. Following that, Natalie obtained a Certificate of Liberal Arts from Simon Fraser University in 1999.

In 2000, Natalie obtained a Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) Certificate from ESL International College. Natalie later expanded their knowledge by completing an Associate Certificate in Fundraising Management with a focus on Marketing from the BCIT School of Business + Media in 2017.

Natalie has also obtained several additional certifications. In 2000, they earned a Certificate in Liberal Arts (CLA) from Simon Fraser University. In 2001, they obtained a Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) certification from Vancouver College. In 2017, they achieved intermediate fluency in French through the Duolingo French Fluency program.

Most recently, Natalie obtained a COVID-19 Awareness and Safe Return to Work Training certificate from Simon Fraser University in 2021. Additionally, they plan to obtain a San'yas: Indigenous Cultural Safety Training Certificate from the Provincial Health Services Authority in 2023.
