Pam Borghardt

STAR Institute Managing Director at Simon Fraser University

Pam Borghardt has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations and roles. Most recently, they served as the AIRR Community Executive Director for The AIRR Community, a research-driven group focused on coordinating stakeholders in the use of next-generation sequencing technologies. Pam was responsible for developing and promoting standards and recommendations for obtaining, analyzing, curating, and sharing AIRR-seq datasets, among other tasks. Before that, they worked as a Project Manager for the iReceptor Project. Additionally, Pam has held various roles at Simon Fraser University, including Managing Director for the STAR Institute and the IRMACS Centre, as well as Director of Administration for the VP Research Centres. Pam also served as the Manager for the AIRR Community Meeting IV and as the Acting COO & Managing Director for AGE-WELL NCE INC.

Pam Borghardt has a background in Education, with a focus on their studies at Simon Fraser University. Pam also attended Port Coquitlam Senior Secondary for their secondary education. In addition, they have obtained a certification in Wilderness First Aid from the Canadian Red Cross.
