Tonia Nicholls serves as the Scientific Director for Forensic Research at BC Mental Health and Substance Use Services since January 2003 and holds the position of Distinguished Scientist. In academia, Tonia Nicholls has been a faculty member at The University of British Columbia since 2006, progressing through ranks from Clinical Instructor to Professor in the Department of Psychiatry, while also serving as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Psychology at Simon Fraser University since 2006. Tonia Nicholls' educational background includes a Post Doctoral Fellowship in Forensic Psychology from The University of British Columbia and a PhD in Forensic Psychology from Simon Fraser University, complemented by a Master of Arts in Forensic Psychology from Simon Fraser University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The University of Lethbridge.
