Peter Eriksson has extensive work experience in the maritime industry. Peter started their career in 1977 with Rederi AB Transatlantic and worked there until 1982. Peter then joined Swedish Cruise as a First Engineer, where they were responsible for the maintenance and repairs of the ship's systems. After that, they worked with Sea Link as a First Engineer, overseeing the renovation of the engine room and resolving hull cracks in fuel tanks.
In 1989, Peter Eriksson worked as a Service Engineer and Erection manager at Metso Paper/Sunds Defibrator, where they specialized in providing technical support and managing installations. Peter joined Wallenius Marine in 1992 as a First Engineer and later became a Chief Engineer, overseeing the technical operations and supervising shipyard repairs.
Peter Eriksson worked with Star Cruises from 2005 to 2010, where they served as a Staff Chief, First Engineer, and Second Engineer. Peter was responsible for shipyard planning, overseeing work and surveys, and upgrading malfunctioning systems.
From 2010 to 2011, Peter Eriksson worked with Equinox Offshore Accommodation Ltd as a Chief Engineer, overseeing the startup and mobilization of the vessel, as well as training the engine crew.
Peter Eriksson then joined O.H. Meling & Co AS in 2011 as a First Engineer before moving to Simon Møkster Shipping AS in 2012. At Simon Møkster Shipping AS, they held various roles, including Senior Engineer, Chief Engineer, and Substitute Chief Engineer, on different vessels.
Throughout their career, Peter Eriksson has gained valuable experience in ship management, system maintenance, shipyard repairs, and training.
Peter Eriksson attended Sjöbefälsskolan Härnösand from 1979 to 1982, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chief Engineering. In terms of additional certifications, Peter obtained numerous qualifications throughout their career. These include an endorsement of certification for Chief Engineer unlimited motorships from the Norwegian Maritime Authority in February 2020, Advanced Fire Fighting and Basic Training certifications from the Swedish Transport Agency in January 2020, and a Certificate of Competency as Chief Engineer, unlimited motor ships (Manila) from the Swedish Transport Agency in January 2020. Peter also holds certifications in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats from the Swedish Transport Agency, Safety Health Environment - HSE from Seagull, Designated Security Duties from the Swedish Transport Agency, and Security Training for Shipboard Personnel with Specific Security Duties from V.Ships Leisure S.A.M. / Marine Manager (Security). Additionally, they have certifications in Crowd Management and Crisis Management from Star Cruises OTC / WQN / accredited by PMA, rep of Panama. Also, Peter has a Health Certificate obtained in October 2020 from the Norwegian Maritime Directorate / Pattaya, Bangkok Pattaya Hospital.
