Declan Cunningham

Declan Cunningham is an experienced Automation Engineer currently working at SimoTech since January 2019, with a focus on implementing new product introductions and system improvements while supporting commissioning, qualification, and validation activities at WuXi Biologics. In previous roles at SimoTech, Declan served as BAS Lead and Lead Building Automation Systems Engineer, overseeing a team of ten in the successful delivery of a Building Automation System on a greenfield site and implementing 37 systems within a year. Prior experience includes a decade at McCool Controls & Engineering Ltd as a Technical Project Manager and Senior BMS Controls Engineer, where Declan developed bespoke software and operational documentation for Building Energy Management Systems. Early career roles include positions as a Marine Electrician and BMS Controls Engineer. Declan is pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering at the Institute of Technology, Sligo, following a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechatronic Engineering from Technological University Dublin.
