Samuel Song

Samuel Song has a diverse work experience, beginning with a role as a Behavioral Health Specialist at Fairfax Behavioral Health from 2015 to 2018. During this time, they redesigned the patient belongings inventory process and trained all employees on the new protocols. Samuel then served as a Peace Corps Volunteer from 2018 to 2020, conducting interviews and surveys to understand community needs and providing classes on career planning, sex ed, classroom management, internet safety, nature conservation, music, and more. In 2020, they worked as a Mental Health Technician at Seattle Children's, leading groups of patients through daily programming and recording progress, safety, vitals, intake, and output. Since 2021, they have been a Junior Instructional Assistant at App Academy, teaching Full Stack Web Development to adults remotely through Zoom. Most recently, they began a role as a Junior Bot Engineer at Simple Fractal in 2022.

Samuel Song attended the University of Michigan from 2010 to 2015, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Statistics. Samuel then attended App Academy from 2020 to 2021, where they studied Computer Software Engineering.
