Johan Jordaan

Johan Jordaan (MIEAust) has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Johan began their career as a Senior Software Developer at BBD from 1998 to 2003. Johan then had an internship at IBM South Africa in 2004. After that, they worked as a Senior Software Consultant at Standard Bank Group, where they worked on mobile banking channels, internet banking websites, and provided operational support for the front office capture system. Johan also worked as a Senior Software Developer at Integrat Mobile Aggregation, implementing the C#/.NET port of the Higate API.

From 2007 to 2016, Johan worked at Synthesis Software Technologies, where they held various roles including developer, analyst, team lead, and architect. During this time, they gained experience in a wide range of projects for different customers.

In 2016, Johan worked as Chief Architect and Full Stack Developer at In My Diary before transitioning to Thinkmill as a Developer. Johan then joined Simple Machines Pty Ltd as a Senior Developer and Technical Lead.

Johan Jordaan (MIEAust) holds a Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand, which was obtained in 2004. Johan also has a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from North-West University/Noordwes-Universiteit, obtained between 1994 and 1999. In addition to their degrees, Johan has various certifications, including multiple AWS certifications from Amazon Web Services, as well as multiple Coursera course certificates related to data analysis and machine learning.
