Heather Harper

Heather Harper has a diverse work experience in the legal field. Heather is currently the General Counsel at Simple Mills since 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Counsel at Thompson Hine LLP, starting in 2022. Heather also has experience as a Founding Attorney at Harper Legal from 2019 to 2022. Before that, they were a Professor of Clinical Practice and Founding Attorney at the Startup Legal Shop at Chicago Kent College of Law from 2012 to 2021. Heather also worked as an Associate Director at The John Marshall Law School from 2008 to 2012, where they focused on curriculum proposals and advising students. Heather also has experience as an Independent Legal Consultant, where they served as a Legal Advisor to local startups. In the earlier years of their career, Heather worked as an Associate at Paul Hastings and Sidley Austin, where they specialized in banking and financial transactions.

Heather Harper completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies and Political Science from Northwestern University, where they studied from 1998 to 2002. Later, they pursued a Juris Doctor degree from Boston College Law School, attending from 2003 to 2006.
