Xiaohan Georgia Xiao

Xiaohan Xiao has worked as a Data Scientist at simplehuman since 2022. Prior to that, Xiaohan served as a Data Scientist Intern at RMDS Lab from March 2022 to September 2022. During this internship, they built and trained topic modeling algorithms with a BERT model, achieving 83% accuracy in category classification. They also used Natural Language Processing to identify novel customer segmentations and automated ETL pipelines using Python and SQL. Before joining RMDS Lab, Xiaohan worked as a Capability and Operation Analyst at DiDi from July 2021 to September 2021. In this role, they streamlined dashboards, owned various company KPIs, and presented weekly updates to management on new business monitoring initiatives.

Xiaohan Xiao completed a Master's degree in Quantitative Economics from UCLA from 2020 to 2022. Prior to that, from 2016 to 2020, Xiaohan earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Nankai University. Xiaohan also obtained several certifications, including "Data Visualization and Communication with Tableau" from Coursera in February 2020, "Managing Big Data with MySQL" from Coursera in January 2020, "Mastering Data Analysis in Excel" from Coursera in November 2019, "Python Data Structures" from Coursera in October 2019, and "Programming for Everybody (Getting Started with Python)" from Coursera in September 2019.
