Koon Silprasert

Koon Silprasert is a seasoned database administrator and DevOps professional with extensive experience in managing and optimizing database infrastructures. Currently serving as a Senior Database Administrator/DevOps at SimplePractice since January 2024, Koon specializes in AWS Aurora MySQL and Redshift, alongside performance tuning and infrastructure deployment using Terraform, Ansible, and Kubernetes. Previously, as a Principal DevOps Engineer at Ring.io, Koon implemented observability tools and monitoring solutions for AWS infrastructure. From 2013 to 2023, Koon held the position of Staff Database Engineer at Genesys, overseeing AWS RDS and EC2 instances. Koon started professional expertise at MicroStrategy, leading DBA and system engineering teams to achieve high availability for various database engines. Koon holds a Master of Industrial Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Chulalongkorn University.
