Leonardo De La Rocha (He/Him)

Leonardo De La Rocha has extensive work experience in various design and advisory roles. Leonardo is currently the Vice President Design at SimplePractice since March 2023. Prior to this, they served as a Strategic Advisor at neo.tax starting from November 2019. Leonardo also served as an Advisory Board Member at Bondadosa from April 2020.

Before their current roles, Leonardo worked at Spotify as the Global Head of Design (Sr.Director), Advertising from August 2021 to March 2023. Leonardo was the Director, Intuit Design at Intuit from September 2019 to August 2021, where they led the development of a company-wide design system.

Leonardo has also held notable positions at Facebook, Yahoo! Inc., and Associated Content, Inc. At Facebook, they served as a Creative Director, Creative Lead, and Product Design Manager, where they made significant contributions to Facebook's advertising platform and digital marketing surfaces. At Yahoo! Inc., they held the positions of Head of Design, Yahoo Advertising & Data, and Director of UX, Yahoo Publishing, where they oversaw design, development, and user experience for various projects.

Additionally, Leonardo served as an Advisor at the Art Institute of Colorado Alumni Board and as the Head of User Experience at Associated Content, Inc.

Throughout their career, Leonardo has demonstrated expertise in design strategy, team management, and developing design systems to drive consistent and high-quality experiences.

Leonardo De La Rocha began their education in 1996 at the University of Colorado Boulder, where they studied Design Management and Graphic Arts, with a focus on Computer Science. Leonardo completed this degree in 2000.

Following this, from 2007 to 2009, Leonardo attended The Art Institutes, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Design Management. During their time at The Art Institutes, they specialized in Graphic Design and Interactive Media Design, while also undertaking minor studies in Consumer Behavior.
