Spencer Dellis has extensive work experience in software development and engineering. Spencer is currently working as a Senior Front-end Engineer at SimplePractice since 2022. Before this, they worked at Impinj from 2017 to 2022, where they held roles like Staff Software Development Engineer and Senior Software Development Engineer, primarily focusing on front-end development using Ember.
In 2015, Spencer joined Watsco Ventures, where they worked on several projects as a Lead Software Engineer, Full Stack Software Engineer, and Junior Developer. Spencer used various frameworks and tools such as Vue.js, AngularJS, PHP, JavaScript, jQuery, and MySQL. During this time, they developed monitoring devices, web applications, and installation proposal systems for HVAC-R service providers.
Prior to their role at Watsco Ventures, Spencer worked as a Teaching Assistant at Wyncode Academy in 2015, assisting students in learning Ruby and JavaScript web development. Spencer also attended Wyncode as a student, gaining skills in Ruby, HTML, CSS, Javascript, MySQL, and Rails.
In 2015, Spencer served as a Lead Web Developer at Becasted, where they played a key role in taking the app from its pre-alpha state to its soft release. Spencer used Ruby, Rails, JavaScript, and SQL during their time there.
Before their career in software development, Spencer worked as an Audio/Video Producer in 2014, producing piano covers of video game music for their own YouTube channel and for ScrewAttack, a larger YouTube channel. Spencer also gained experience as a Portman Lab Technical Assistant at the University of Rochester from 2010 to 2013, where they assisted in chemical solution preparation for experiments related to genetic research in neural development.
