Marc Pereira

Marc Pereira has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Marc is currently working at SimpleTire as the Director of Core Systems, a position they have held since March 2022. Prior to that, they were the Principal Operations Architect at SimpleTire from December 2019 to April 2022.

Before joining SimpleTire, Marc worked at alphabroder as a Senior Developer from January 2018 to March 2020. Marc was responsible for developing and enhancing software solutions during their time at the company.

From 2016 to 2017, Marc was a Senior Developer at F+W Media, Inc. Marc played a key role in merging and converting various legacy websites to a standardized platform. Marc utilized technologies such as Magento, NGINX, MySQL, and Redis to optimize the platform's performance and reduce costs.

Prior to F+W Media, Inc., Marc worked at Radial as a Senior Manager of Software Engineering and Production Systems Architecture from June 2015 to December 2016. Marc contributed to the development and management of production systems architecture.

From 2014 to 2015, Marc served as the VP of Technology at FreedomPay, where they provided leadership and direction for technology solutions. Marc was responsible for overseeing software development and ensuring stability and security while driving rapid growth.

Marc has also worked at eBay Enterprise, where they held various roles. From 2011 to 2014, they served as a Program Director and Senior Manager of Software Engineering and Product Development. Marc partnered with stakeholders to drive execution and delivery of programs. Marc also worked as a Senior Technical Manager and a Senior Software Engineer at eBay Enterprise from 2002 to 2011.

In addition to their extensive technology experience, Marc has also worked as a Court Interpreter at Geneva Worldwide from 2010 to 2011.

Before transitioning into the technology field, Marc served as a Specialist in the United States Army Reserve from 1992 to 2000.

Throughout their career, Marc has demonstrated expertise in software development, project management, systems architecture, and technology leadership.

Marc Pereira obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Temple University, which they attended from 1990 to 1996. In terms of additional certifications, they completed the "Think Like A Relevance Engineer - Elasticsearch" course from OpenSource Connections in May 2020. Additionally, in May 2016, they achieved intermediate fluency in Portuguese and advanced fluency in Spanish through the Duolingo language learning platform.
