Avrahom Gurwitz

Avrahom Gurwitz is the current Chief Medical Officer & Director at Simplex Health. Prior to this, they were Co-Owner of New Britain Fitness from September 2017 to June 2019. Avrahom has also been a part of Gurwitz Medical Consulting, LLC and Simplex Health in the past. From July 2011 to February 2013, they worked as a Pediatric Critical Care Fellow at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. From July 2008 to June 2011, they served as a Pediatric Resident at NYU Langone Medical Center. Additionally, they have worked as an EMT for Metro Care Ambulance Svc and Staten Island University Hospital. Lastly, they have also been a Resident Counselor for Womens League Community Residences and a Health Aide for NYC Board of Education.

Avrahom Gurwitz studied medicine at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center College of Medicine, where they earned their MD. Avrahom also holds a BS in Psychology from Brooklyn College. In addition to their medical degree, they also have a MPH in Public Health.
