Gabriel Aldaz

Gabriel Aldaz is a multifaceted professional with extensive experience in engineering and technology, currently serving as Host and Producer for The Accidental Bicycle Tourist podcast since January 2024. Aldaz has held the position of Chief Technical Advisor at Bio1 Systems, Inc. since October 2016, focusing on innovative solutions for traumatic brain injury management and the development of a data capture platform for electronic healthcare records. As a member of the Board of Directors and Director of the Bay Area Office at Simplexity Product Development, Aldaz established operations and oversaw various aspects of business growth. Previous roles included Design Engineer at Oticon A/S, Co-Founder and President of SparkWorks Engineering, and further positions at Thayer Medical, IDEO, MTS Systems, and Hughes Missile Systems. Aldaz holds a PhD and MS in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Arizona.
