Gianluca G. has extensive work experience in the public and private sectors. In 2022, they became the Sr. Advisor & Ambassador for North America at IBIS Power, a company that provides sustainable solutions to fully decarbonize buildings. Gianluca also became the Sr. Advisor to the Co-Founder & CEO at Simplicity. In 2020, they became the Strategic Growth Advisor at Uncharted Power. In 2021, they became the Managing Director, Technology and Innovation Partnerships - Office of the Chair at the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA). From 2017 to 2019, they were the Principal and Managing Principal at Global Futures Group, a strategic advisory to businesses on US expansion and to governments on ecosystem building, FDI and smart cities strategies. In 2017, they became the Co Producer at Smart Cities New York. In 2019, they became a Member of the Advisory Board - Smart Cities & Aging Society at Amundi. In 2018, they became an Advisor at Mayor’s Office for International Affairs at the City of New York. In 2017, they became part of the “NYC Global” Initiative and FDI in NY at the Partnership for New York City. Lastly, from 2014 to 2017, they were the Director of International Business and Investments at the New York City Economic Development Corporation.

Gianluca G. began their educational journey in 1989 at Università Bocconi, where they earned a Laurea (BA and MA) in Economics, Business and Law. Gianluca then went on to Yale University to pursue a Master's degree in International Economics, which they completed in 1998.
