David Jackson

Dave has more than 12 years of experience in trading, portfolio management and investment operations. Prior to joining Simplify, Dave was a Vice President on the Equities Trading and Portfolio Management teams at PIMCO, covering a wide variety of both passive and active investment strategies for retail and institutional clients, across mutual funds, ETF’s and separately managed accounts.

He was directly involved in managing equity exposures across global markets and products; trade execution of equities and derivatives, including futures, options, and total return swaps; new strategy development and implementation; and leading strategic projects that aimed to improve the efficiency of trade execution and portfolio operations, scale the business, and manage risk.

Dave holds an MBA from Columbia Business School in New York and an undergraduate degree in Finance from California State University. He is based in the New York City area with his wife and dog, and in his spare time Dave enjoys martial arts, sports, cooking and travel. He has also worked with local non-profit organizations in NYC to review and submit grant proposals to corporate foundations and served as a volunteer consultant to rural community co-ops in Honduras.
