Jeff Uenishi

Jeff Uenishi, CFA, FRM has a strong background in risk management and portfolio management. Jeff is currently working at Simplify as a Senior Vice President. Previously, they held the same position at Pacific Alternative Asset Management Company (PAAMCO) from 2006 to 2018. At PAAMCO, they led a team responsible for measuring the risk of hedge fund positions and implemented various risk management strategies. Jeff also created a proprietary hedge fund position-based database from scratch. Prior to PAAMCO, Jeff worked as a Portfolio Manager at Kayne Anderson Rudnick Investment Management from 2003 to 2004 and at Pacific Investment Management Company (PIMCO) from 2000 to 2003.

Jeff Uenishi, CFA, FRM holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business-Finance from the College of Business at California State University-Long Beach. Jeff also studied Aeronautical Engineering at the United States Air Force Academy. In addition, Jeff has obtained certifications as a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) from the CFA Institute, an FRM (Financial Risk Manager) from the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP), and completed a course on Python for Data Science, AI & Development from Coursera.
