Said Assali

Said Assali has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Said started their career as a Bartender at Warehouse Live & Etro Lounge in 2005 and worked there until 2008. Said then joined Ground Hog Drilling as a Project Manager from 2007 to 2008. In 2008, they became a Business Unit Director at Independent Marketing Alliance and held this position until 2017. In 2017, they joined Sysco and had multiple roles within the company, including Category Manager from 2017 to 2019, Director of Category Management from 2019 to 2021, and Director of Assortment Strategy & Innovation from 2021 to 2022. In 2022, they joined Evergreen Nutrition Coaching as a WAG Certified Nutrition Coach. Currently, they are the Director of Corporate Accounts at J.R. Simplot Company, a position they have held since December 2022.

Said Assali earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Finance from the University of Houston from 2004 to 2006. Said also completed policy and international trade development coursework as a freshman to junior at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2001 to 2004. In addition, they took summer study abroad courses in International Economics at Boğaziçi University in 2002. Later, from 2011 to 2013, they attended the Harvard University Division of Continuing Education to pursue Strategic Management Courses. In 2018, they obtained a certification in Leadership Essentials from the Leadership Essentials Program.
