Sean Carney

Sean Carney serves as the Managing Director and Underwriting Director at Simply Business since February 2021. Prior experience includes a tenure at Hiscox from September 2011 to December 2020, where Sean held several managerial roles, including Head of Operations for Hiscox UK Direct and Partnerships, overseeing a contact center with over 130 staff members and driving growth metrics. Additionally, Sean was Portfolio Underwriting Manager, focusing on expanding underwriting strategies for Direct Commercial, and Development Underwriter for both Professions and Specialty Commercial, as well as Art and Private Clients, specializing in cyber and media underwriting. Sean holds a BA Honours degree in Economics from the University of Liverpool, awarded in 2010 with First Class distinction.
