Niyati Patel is a committed member of various organizations such as Red Cross Youth, World Learning, Simply Neuroscience, Youth Advisory Panel, Shattering The Stigma, Reinvented Magazine, Learn2Be, The Proximity Foundation, and Bentham Science. In these roles, Niyati serves as a council member, TED 2020 participant, co-lead of Humans of Neuroscience, human resource department member, awareness team member, editor, writer, marketing team member, board member, social media director, accounting manager, head tutor, writer, editor, human resources director, and content creator. Niyati is dedicated to enhancing awareness of social justice issues, promoting mental health advocacy, and creating educational materials related to neuroscience and medicine.

Simply Neuroscience
Simply Neuroscience is an international, student-run, fiscally sponsored non-profit organization dedicated to fostering students' interdisciplinary interests in the brain through neuroscience and psychology education, outreach, and awareness. We connect middle school through graduate students with free online neuroscience-related resources, opportunities, events, mentorship, and more through our 25 departmental initiatives, including but not limited to the "The Synapse" Podcast, Action Potential Advising Program, Brain and Research Resource Creation teams, Presynaptic Project, Humans of Neuroscience series, and monthly virtual events.
