Harnoor Singh has worked in various roles since 2021. In 2021, they worked as a Software Developer, Academic Tutor, Drilling Data Analytics Co-op Student and Student Services Assistant at Memorial University of Newfoundland. During their time there, they developed novel algorithms to perform automated drill bit forensics and co-authored a research paper to be presented in SPE/IADC International Drilling Conference in Stavanger, Norway in March 2023. Harnoor also migrated existing code from Python 2 to Python 3, learned physics of Differential Dynamic Microscopy (DDM) to understand existing code, wrote code to add new functionality for analyzing images obtained by DDM and developed a utility to detect ellipsoidal particles in an image using image processing techniques and Machine Learning. In 2022, they worked as an ETL Developer at SimplyAnalytics. Currently, they are working as a Development Engineering Assistant at ExxonMobil.
Harnoor Singh attended Innocent Hearts School in India from 2004 to 2020. Harnoor is currently enrolled in Memorial University of Newfoundland, where they are pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering, which they expect to complete in 2026. In addition, they have obtained three certifications: Tech Stewardship Practice Program (TSPP) in December 2022, Onshape Fundamentals: CAD in November 2021, and WHMIS in August 2021.
