Emory Montague

Emory Montague has a strong background in engineering and research. They started their career in 1998 as a Project Engineer at Biggs Cardosa Associates, Inc. and received three promotions during their tenure. In 2005, they joined Simpson Strong-Tie and held various positions including R&D Engineer, Senior Engineering Project Manager, Engineering Manager in R&D, Director of Engineering in R&D, and currently serve as the Director of Engineering, Testing & Research Operations. In this role, they oversee multiple in-house R&D test laboratories, coordinate with third-party test labs and university research partners, and provide virtual simulation services.

Emory Montague earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Architectural Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, where they studied from 1993 to 1998. Additionally, Emory Montague holds certifications as a Structural Engineer (SE), obtained from the State of California in an unspecified year, and as a Professional Engineer in Civil Engineering, obtained from the State of California in 2001.
