Jenny Floyd Smith

Jenny Floyd Smith is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in law firms and judicial clerkship. Currently serving as the Associate Director for Staff Attorney Management at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP since October 2014, Jenny has previously held positions as Associate and Practice Group Manager at Dechert LLP from January 2005 to April 2014, and as an Associate at Heller Ehrman from 2002 to early 2005. Earlier in their career, Jenny served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Alan H. Nevas at the U.S. District Court from September 2001 to September 2002, and had earlier roles at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett as an Associate and Summer Associate. Jenny holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Michigan Law School and has earned both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in History, as well as undergone studies at the Institute of European Studies and the University of Oxford.
