James Richards

James Richards is an experienced Senior Embryologist at Sims IVF since May 2021, having progressed through roles as an Embryologist and Trainee Embryologist. In March 2024, James began serving as Chair of the Association of Irish Clinical Embryologists (ICE). James earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Reproductive Medicine from the University of Birmingham, completing a Medical Research Council-funded PhD focused on sperm-induced signaling in the female reproductive tract. Additional experience includes serving as a COVID-19 Processing Operative/Testing Assistant during the pandemic at the University of Birmingham and working as a Lab Technician at the University of Dundee, where a research project on pro-fertility lubricants was conducted. James holds a Master’s Degree in Human Clinical Embryology and Assisted Conception and a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacology, both from the University of Dundee.
