Jim Payne

Jim Payne (FCCA) has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. JIM currently holds the position of Director of Financial Planning and Analysis - F,P&A Commercial Metal UK at Sims Limited since October 2021. Prior to this, they worked as the Business Strategy and Strategic Systems Manager at the same company from October 2020 to October 2021. JIM also served as the Regional Operations Manager for Processing Facilities & Strategic Projects from November 2019 to October 2020.

Before joining Sims Limited, Jim worked in the British Army as a Royal Engineer Reservist from September 2007 to September 2013. JIM also worked as a Commercial Finance Accountant at CRS Metals Ltd from June 2010 to March 2012. Additionally, they gained experience as an Assistant Financial Accountant at Gorings Chartered Accountants and Financial Advisors from June 2008 to May 2010.

Jim Payne (FCCA) has a strong education background in accounting, finance, and management. JIM obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Leadership and Strategic Management from Coventry University in 2018. Prior to that, they achieved their ACCA qualification from ICAEW in 2013. Additionally, they hold a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance from De Montfort University (2006) and an HND in Sports Management from Harper Adams University (2002). Jim also completed an internship in Leisure and Tourism at The Ohio State University in 2001. JIM further pursued a degree in Sports Management with an ND from the University of the West of England (1999). To complete their education, Jim obtained GCSE's from Aylestone High School in 1997. In terms of additional certifications, they are a member of the Chartered Management Institute, received a certification from WAMITAB, and holds an ACCA qualification from ICAEW.
