Rebecca Lawrence has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Rebecca is currently the Group Director of Strategy at Sims Limited, where they work across different business units and geographies. Prior to this, they served as the Project Lead for the capacity mechanism at the Energy Security Board and as a Senior Policy Adviser at the Australian Energy Market Commission. Rebecca also worked at EY Port Jackson Partners as an Associate and Business Analyst, managing client engagements and developing technical and project management skills. Rebecca has previous experience as a Tutor and Research Assistant at The University of Western Australia, an Intern at QBE Insurance and National Australia Bank, and a Research Assistant at The Centre for Social Impact.
Rebecca Lawrence completed their Bachelor of Philosophy (First Class Honours in Economics) from The University of Western Australia between 2013 and 2017. Rebecca also pursued a short-term exchange program in Indonesian/Malay Languages and Literatures at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) from 2014 to 2015. In 2018, they attended Kaplan Professional and earned certificates in Understanding and Analysing Financial Statements as well as Financial Analysis and Valuation, focusing on Accounting and Finance.
