Dr. Satyanarayana Rao began their work experience in 1992 as a Scientist at Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd. Dr. continued their research work as a Scientist at Sun Pharma Advanced Research Company Ltd. from 1996 to 1999. Dr. then joined APL research Centre as a Principle Scientist from 1999 to 2006.
