Huda Ahmed is an Assistant Manager - Electrical at Sindh Engro Coal Mining Company (SECMC) since December 2021, previously serving as a Graduate Trainee Engineer. Huda held leadership roles at IEEE PES NEDUET from September 2018 to October 2021, including Branch Representative and Co-Director, where responsibilities included event management and coordination. Additionally, Huda gained practical experience through internships at Tapal Tea (Pvt.) Ltd. as a Production and Maintenance Intern, Pakistan International Airlines as an Engineering Intern, and Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority as a Technical Intern specializing in HVAC systems. Huda graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from NED University of Engineering and Technology in 2021, following studies at BAMM P.E.C.H.S College from 2015 to 2017.

Sindh Engro Coal Mining Company (SECMC) is a joint venture between Government of Sindh and Engro Energy Limited where Engro is an 11.9% shareholder. The other partners in this project include Thal Limited (House of Habib), Habib Bank Limited (HBL), Hub Power Company (HUBCO); China Machinery Engineering Corporation (CMEC) and SPI (State Power International). SECMC was established with the vision “To develop a technically and commercially viable Coal Mining Project in Thar Block – II to bring energy security to Pakistan via local untapped reserves” The total reserves of block II are sufficient to support 5000MW of energy for 50 years; enough to pull the country out of the energy crisis.
