Prasad Shetty has worked in various roles throughout their career. Starting in 2004, they worked as an Auditor at B S Shah & Associates until 2006. Prasad then joined Raj Creation as an Accounts Officer from 2006 to 2007. In 2007, they joined the Society for Innovation & Entrepreneurship -SINE IIT Bombay, where they held multiple roles until 2022, including Vice President - Portfolio & Operations. Prasad also became a Governing Board Member at the Indian STEPs and Business Incubators Association (ISBA) in 2022.
Prasad Shetty completed their Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in Accounting and Business/Management from the University of Mumbai between 2003 and 2006. Prior to that, they completed SSC & HSC (Business/Commerce, General) from VPMs Ramniklal Z Shah College of Arts Science and Commerce in Mumbai between 1998 and 2003. Recently, they obtained a Master's in Financial Management degree with a focus on Finance and Financial Management Services from K J Somaiya Institute of Management, graduating between 2018 and 2021.

Society for Innovation & Entrepreneurship (SINE), is an umbrella organization at IIT Bombay for fostering entrepreneurship and nurturing tech start-ups. SINE, is a technology business incubator providing ‘Start to Scale’ support for technology-based startups/innovators and facilitates the conversion of research activity into entrepreneurial ventures with a focus towards economic growth across sectors. Established in the year 2004, SINE has gained recognition as one of the pioneers of the startup incubation ecosystem in India. SINE actively collaborates for various initiatives with Corporates, Government, Institutions, and International organisations and has gained a leadership position in the business incubation community in India. SINE has been selected as “Centre of Excellence” by DST- GOI (Department of Science and Technology). In addition to CoE, DST has also selected SINE as an implementation partner to run its nationwide program for funding innovators for prototyping their ideas. SINE has also set up a BIO-Incubator (BioNest) to encourage the MedTech entrepreneurs under BIRAC & DBT-GOI (Department of Biotechnology) and is also selected as BIG partner. MeitY-GOI (Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology) also supports SINE.
