Chairman, Sustainability at Singapore Institute of Architects

Szue Hann Tan, MBA, MArch, currently serves as the Head of Sustainability and Deputy General Manager for Sustainable Urban Renewal at Keppel Ltd., focusing on enhancing the sustainability of older commercial buildings in the Asia Pacific region. As a co-founder of IxSA, a not-for-profit think tank, Szue Hann Tan promotes innovative approaches to sustainability through six core principles. In addition, Szue Hann Tan holds the position of Chairman for the Sustainability Committee at the Singapore Institute of Architects and has been an adjunct lecturer at BCA Academy since 2013. Previous roles include Director of Sustainability Development and Engineering at Marina Bay Sands, Director of Sustainable Development at the Centre for Liveable Cities, and Board Director at the Singapore Institute of Building. Szue Hann Tan's educational background includes advanced degrees in Business and Architecture from institutions such as UCLA and the National University of Singapore.

Singapore Institute of Architects

The Singapore Institute of Architects is a professional organization established in 1963 with the objective to promote the architectural profession and the built environment in Singapore. The Institute is the sole representative for architectural profession in Singapore. The Institute’s Mission is “To champion excellence in architecture and the built environment” and our vision is to see “Singapore as an Architecture Capital”. The management of the affairs of the Institute is the responsibility of an elected Council, comprising 21 members, one of whom is appointed by the Board of Architects, Singapore, as an ex-officio member. There are 6 office bearers, who are responsible collectively for the administration and financial matters of the Institute.
