Christopher Sontchi is a distinguished legal professional currently serving as a Judge at the Singapore International Commercial Court since July 2022, specializing in international insolvency cases. Additionally, Sontchi holds positions as a Consultant for the World Bank Group, teaching insolvency to international judges, and as an Arbitrator with the Singapore International Arbitration Centre. Sontchi also operates Sontchi, LLC, providing services as a mediator, arbitrator, expert consultant, and independent fiduciary. Previously, Sontchi served as a Judge in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware from 2006 to 2022, including a term as Chief Judge. Sontchi began their legal career at Ashby & Geddes, P.A., and served as a law clerk for the Delaware Supreme Court. Sontchi earned a JD from the University of Chicago Law School and a BA in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
