SERI Adjunct Principal Investigator at Singapore National Eye Centre

Mo Dirani is the Chairman and Founding Managing Director of Plano, a company focused on managing smart device use and myopia in children. Mo is also an Adjunct Associate Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School and a SERI Adjunct Principal Investigator at the Singapore Eye Research Institute. Additionally, they have served as an Honorary Fellow at the Centre for Eye Research Australia (CERA) and as an Academic Fellow at the Baker IDI Heart and Diabetes Institute. In the past, Dirani has held positions as a Principal Investigator at the Centre for Eye Research Australia and as a Fellow at the Centre for Eye Research Australia, Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital. Mo also has experience as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Singapore Eye Research Institute.

Mo Dirani obtained a PhD in Medicine from the University of Melbourne between 2004 and 2006. In 2013, they completed a Board Director course at the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Mo also earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies from the Australian Institute of Business between 2015 and 2016. Additionally, Mo Dirani received certifications from Huawei in the AppsUP 2021 - Huawei HMS App Innovation Contest, including the Best Social Impact Award and the Most Popular App Award.
