Mikkel Yang has extensive work experience in various roles. From 2010 to 2012, they worked as a Graphic Designer at TGP The Generics Pharmacy. Starting in 2012, they joined oDesk as a Presentation Guru and later became a Presentation Expert until 2016. In 2016, they joined Singapore School Cebu as an IT Administrator and also worked as an Engage Administrator for Double First. Since 2018, they have been teaching IB Computer Science, focusing on Database using PostgreSQL and Python for the Internal Assessment. Mikkel also worked as a Chief Technology Officer at Singapore School Cebu. In the same year, they joined Cantina as a Python App Developer.

Mikkel Yang obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of San Carlos, where they studied from 2010 to 2016.
