Lim King Boon

General Manager, Partnership, Innovation and Enterprise at Singapore University of Technology and Design

With over 25 years of distinctive service in the public sector, King Boon has accumulated diverse experience in a wide spectrum of disciplines including economic development, diplomacy, international and political relations, investment promotion and management, urban and sustainable development as well as business development. His professional career has spanned across the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) and Jurong Town Corporation (JTC). Over the years, he has worked and lived in Japan and China for more than 20 years, while he was also actively involved in a few Singapore bilateral initiatives in China.

Prior to joining SUTD, King Boon was the Deputy CEO of CSSD, the Shanghai A-share listed China-Singapore joint-venture which did the master-planning and undertook the building and development of Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP). As General Manager of Partnership, Innovation and Enterprise, King Boon assists the President of SUTD to formulate, strategize and drive the initiatives under the SUTD Growth Plan, focusing on promoting research, innovation and enterprising development between the SUTD community and the industry.

King Boon graduated from the Tokyo Institute of Technology (Information Science) under the PSC government scholarship scheme. Besides work, he enjoys travelling and sporting activities.
