Luigi Garofalo

Luigi Garofalo is a Bank Resolution Expert at the Single Resolution Board since March 2021, where responsibilities include analyzing and drafting resolution plans and resolvability assessments for credit institutions under BRRD and SRMR within the Banking Union. Previously, Luigi served as an Associate at BonelliErede from September 2012 to February 2021, engaging in legal research, drafting defense statements, participating in court hearings, and negotiating settlement agreements. Experience encompasses various legal matters, particularly in corporate law, banking and financial law, and civil law, including judicial and arbitration proceedings. Luigi holds an Executive Master in International Politics from the CERIS-ULB Diplomatic School of Brussels and a Master’s degree in Law from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, complemented by participation in the LLP - Erasmus Programme at Universidad de Córdoba.
