Ben Polzin

Ben Polzin has worked in various roles throughout their career. Ben started at Northwestern Mutual in 2005 as an IS Intern. Ben then joined Harley-Davidson Motor Company in 2004 as an IS Intern, where they provided technical support and minimized downtime for production systems. In 2007, they moved to CDW Berbee as a Network Voice Associate. At CDW, they progressed through different positions such as Unified Communications Engineer, Senior Unified Communications Engineer, Technical Lead, Collaboration, and finally Enterprise Architect. During their time at CDW, they developed collaboration solutions, served as a technical escalation point, and mentored engineers. In 2016, they joined Singlewire Software as a Senior Engineer, contributing to the development of InformaCast emergency notification software. Ben is currently the Director of Technical Support at Singlewire Software.

Ben Polzin attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering from 2003 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in International Business with a specialization in Computer Systems and Networks. Additionally, in 2005 and 2006, they studied at Technische Hochschule Lübeck, where they earned a Diplom-Wirtschaftsingenieur degree in Business Engineering, focusing on Operations and Logistics.

In terms of certifications, Ben Polzin obtained several credentials. In 2007, they achieved the CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) certification from Cisco. Later, in 2012, they obtained the CCNA Voice certification. Additionally, in the same year as their CCNA, they received their CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) certification. In 2008, they also obtained the CCVP (Cisco Certified Voice Professional) - CCNP Voice certification. Most recently, in March 2022, they became an Elastic Certified Observability Engineer.
