Daniel Hollier Cross has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries.
Daniel began their career as a Summer Shop Assistant at Burlington Violin Shop from June 2007 to August 2009.
From August 2006 to May 2010, they served as both a Stage Manager and House Manager at Cleveland Institute of Music.
Daniel then worked as an Inside Sales Associate at West Business Services from June 2010 to January 2011.
In February 2011, Daniel joined Epic as a QA team member in the EpicCare Inpatient QA team, where they tested the Medication Administration Record and coordinated release testing. In February 2013, they were promoted to QA Team Lead, leading various QA teams, managing as many as 25 direct and indirect reports, mentoring team leads, and leading Epic's Testing Methodology group. Daniel also initiated chartered, unscripted testing sessions and launched automation programs on multiple teams. Daniel remained at Epic until November 2016.
Since November 2016, Daniel has been with Singlewire Software (InformaCast Emergency Notification System) in various roles. Daniel began as a QA Engineer, focusing on test automation and contributing to the development and maintenance of UI and API tests. Daniel also played a significant role in creating the API testing client used across the company's test projects. In January 2019, they were promoted to QA Manager, overseeing a team of a dozen people involved in automation and manual testing of InformaCast and its related applications and devices. In April 2022, they expanded their responsibilities to include managing the DevOps team. Currently, as the Director of Software Testing and DevOps, they ensure the high quality, reliability, and availability of Singlewire's software products and cloud infrastructure while promoting agility in response to business needs.
Daniel Hollier Cross received a Bachelor of Music in Cello Performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music, where they studied from 2006 to 2010. In addition to their degree, they also obtained a number of certifications, including CTFL from ISTQB - International Software Testing Qualifications Board in October 2015, EpicCare Ambulatory from Epic in May 2013, Anesthesia from Epic in January 2013, Willow Inpatient from Epic in October 2011, and EpicCare Inpatient from Epic in April 2011.
