Samuel Chu

Samuel Chu has extensive work experience in the field of data science, analytics, and actuarial analysis. Samuel is currently employed as the Head of Data Science and Analytics at Singlife since August 2022. Prior to this, from 2017 to 2022, they worked at FWD Insurance, where they held the roles of Head of GI Actuarial, Data & Analytics, and Head of GI Actuarial.

Before their role at FWD Insurance, Samuel worked at IAG from 2010 to 2017, where they held various positions, including Principal Portfolio Analyst, Senior Pricing Analyst, and Actuarial Analyst.

Furthermore, Samuel gained early experience as an Actuarial Analyst at PwC Consulting in 2009 and as a Youth Leader at Pinnacle Pursuits in 2007.

Samuel Chu completed their Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) and Bachelor of Laws degrees in Actuarial Studies from UNSW from 2005 to 2009. Prior to that, they attended North Sydney Boys High School from 2002 to 2004, where they obtained their HSC. In terms of additional certifications, Samuel Chu is an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner through Amazon Web Services (AWS). Samuel is also a Fellow of the Singapore Actuarial Society and the Institute of Actuaries Australia.
