John Sutherland

John Sutherland serves as the Chief Information Officer at HammondCare since September 2021, contributing significantly to an independent charity focused on enhancing the quality of life for individuals with complex health and aged care needs. In addition, John is an active member of various organizations, including the Expert Advisory Group of the Australasian Institute of Digital Health, the Task Force for the NSW Smart Sensing Network, and the Innovation Advisory Council at Vation Ventures. John is also involved with the Optus Business Strategic Advisory Board and serves on the Board Clinical and Technical Advisory Committee of the Australian Digital Health Agency. Previously, John held the role of Non-Executive Director at State Medical Assistance and was Chairman of the Australian Private Hospital CIO Group. Educationally, John holds a Master of Information Technology Management from Macquarie University, a BSc in Computer Science from The Australian National University, and has completed several executive programs at prestigious institutions, including Harvard Business School and the University of Oxford.
