Robert Muggah

Robert Muggah is an accomplished principal at The Secdev Group, specializing in digital risk and the digital economy since January 2017. Muggah co-founded the Igarapé Institute, a prominent social policy think tank in Latin America, and serves as an executive there, focusing on public security, cyber security, and environmental crime. As a faculty member at Singularity University since March 2018, Muggah continues to contribute to academic discourse. Previous experience includes senior consultant roles at The World Bank, UNODC, and UNDP, technical specialist at Uber, and senior advisor at McKinsey & Company and the Inter-American Development Bank. Muggah holds a PhD in International Development from the University of Oxford, an MPhil from the University of Sussex, and a BA from Dalhousie University.
