David Murray

David Murray is an experienced IT professional with a diverse background in infrastructure operations and architecture. Currently serving as Manager of Infrastructure Operations and Architecture at Sinopec Canada since December 2013, David also holds the position of Group Lead for IT Architecture. Prior involvement includes leadership as Calgary VMUG Leader for the VMware User Group from November 2014 to May 2018, where efforts were focused on expanding community membership. David’s previous roles encompass Systems Engineer at VMware, Technical Solution Architect, and Infrastructure Consultant at Graycon Group, Senior Technical Consultant at Core Technology Inc., Senior Network Administrator at Savanna Energy Services Corp. and Samson Resources, and Network Administrator and Technical Team Leader at Quorum Information Technologies. David began the IT career in a Level 1 Help Desk role at Digital Equipment (Compaq).
