Hugo Penagos

Hugo Penagos is an experienced Asset Integrity Engineer currently working at Sinopec Canada since November 2022, focusing on identifying integrity threats and developing mitigation strategies for pressure equipment and pipelines. Previously, Hugo served as an Asset Integrity Specialist at Vysus Group and as an Asset Integrity Consultant at Lloyd's Register, gaining extensive knowledge in reliability assessments, integrity management, and risk-based inspection projects. Additional roles include coordinating commissioning and start-up activities at Suncor Energy and designing piping engineering for natural gas compressor packages at Enerflex Ltd. With a strong background in mechanical engineering, Hugo holds a degree from Universidad INCCA de Colombia and a 4th Class Power Engineer certification from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology.
